I remember that Mrs. Koopmeiners was my Lakeview Elementary School librarian back in the 90s, she was awesome and will be missed.

Words can't describe how hard this has been on me... I love you so much Grandma. I will forever miss my crazy, fun, nature-loving grandma. YOU were my childhood. Sandboxes, hiking, painting, plays, pianos, dollhouses, dressup, and all things nature. You were always so full of love and care for those around you. You always supported me in everything I did, and was my #1 fan throughout life. Every day I remember old memories with you... and I cry a little (even though you told me not to).. and then I smile because all my memories with you are so fond. Life without you isn't the same. I will try my best to teach Aubrey all about rainbows and
butterflies just like you did me. I love you so much grandma. I hope you're enjoying the view from up there with grandpa.

To my dear friend Lisa and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of your mom. Lisa and I practicing our trumpets together in the living room with your Mom as our audience of one. Countless sleepovers and of course our 8th grade project "the quilt". Your mom was so patient with us in teaching us how to hand sew each of the stars. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. Dorathy was always very sweet to me, my wife and my children. I really like that she knew what she stood for and wasn't afraid to let you know.
I can only remember wonderful thing about your mother. She loved everything and everybody. Working with her at Cottage Grove and Lakeview she was such a wonderful resource person. Going home with her, looking for some obscure thing, your mom was sure she had it. She did! So loved her and be sure to keep your memories close to your heart.

Lisa and Todd. I am so very sorry for your loss. Her grandchildren, her doggy, her camping trips, her hikes, her smiles, her laughter and her soul will always live on.....so glad you got to spend her last moments with her, in stories and laughter and videos and reminiscing....her legacy. Love to you all, during this very difficult time. Wendy, Lang and boys
I'm so very sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. My deepest condolences to everyone. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sorry for your loss. Dorothy and I worked together at Lakeview for years and I considered her a good friend. We both found out we had cancer around the same time and kept up with each other via Facebook messenger. She will be sorely missed but I am so glad I got to have her be part of my life when I lived in Coventry.

Lisa - I remember your mom so well. She was always full of life and laughter whenever I visited your home. Losing a parent is so hard; I know you will cherish your memories of her and every time you see her in yourself and your children. My heart and prayers are with you all.

Dorathy was a gifted friend and fun sister. I recall going with her to Cedar Point and Lake Erie, boating, water skiing, and swimming at the Good Year Boat Club, sledding up on the big hill, going to sock hops and going out to drive-in movies (as chaperone between her and her date). In the early years, she was always expressing that there is beauty and goodness in everyone and everything. I recall her love of being a librarian at Lakeview elementary school and that she would even dress up in character for the books she would read to the kids. I recall that each day was joy for her to go and be part of the library and part of the education of the children. I recall the sound of our families’ children’s laughter, as Dorathy entertained them and the fun of the family playing Just Dance together. It was great that she could come to Hawaii with me and walk with her bare feet in the sand and feel the warm breeze of ocean air. I still have some of the sticky notes she left in my home reading “time with you is precious”. She believed in God and Jesus and was blessed to find Urban to be part of her life and joy. She measured her life with the perseverance to see through everything that God placed before her, that a measurement of one’s life is to make it through this one to move on to the next.
