Missing you Donna Lynn. You were always good to me. You gave me good advice every time I saw or spoke with you. It was a better  world with you in it. Gone too soon. I love you.

A Donna Ashworth poem that reminded me of the unconditional love Donnalyn gave so generously.

She was a beautiful soul, always inviting, always caring. She kept our failed food trailer project at her home until I was able to sell it. She offered to keep as we were moving back to Mexico. Also, our time in the Natural Epicurean kitchen was one of sharing and laughing about our own mistakes and occurrences. She was always making it easier to relax amidst the pressure. Love that smile, will always remember her with a smile.
Happy  Birthday to Donnalyn. <3 I'm so glad you were born, and so grateful I got to be your friend. Wishing Donnalyn's family and loved ones peace and gratitude to balance the missing her deeply. Much love to all.
Please pardon my tardiness. I only now just heard that Donnalyn has advanced to the next level. I was just thinking of her the other day, she popped into my head seemingly out of nowhere. Then tonight I met Mary who told me the news. How I love Donnalyn and always will. Just as she popped into my head recently, so she magically popped into my life. I can’t precisely remember when or how, only that once I met her I felt like I’d known her forever. Our visits waxed and waned over the years, but no matter now much time had lapsed, sitting down with her was just picking up the conversation right where we left off. I learned so much from her. I was so very, very inspired by her. I am very deeply sorry for our tremendous loss. Sending y’all love. Spike

The first time I met Donnalyn, she was about a week old.  She was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.  I was six years old, but I was allowed to hold her.  She held my hand.  I stood for the longest time by her crib and just watched her.  She didn’t cry.  Anytime I got to see her, I went.  We stayed close from then on.  She always made me feel so good and always a new story to tell.  I miss her and can still feel her with me here in Taos.

For forty-four years, Donnalyn brightened, mystified, and enlightened my life. If I had only one adjective to describe her, it would be generous. She was there holding my hand through all of her Dad’s medical procedures. She organized the summer birthday celebration picnics and included everyone in this big extended family - giving so much of herself (and bringing the wicked good cheesecakes she’d made). She and Georgianne were at my father’s bedside when he died so we could take a break. She...  I could fill pages with her acts of caring. And if you’re reading this, I'm sure you've experienced Donnalyn's extraordinary generosity,  too.

I’ll always cherish and love her.  And always be thankful for the great fortune that brought her into my life.       Lynn

How grateful I am that Donna has been such a significant part of my life! We shared so many milestones; marriages, raising children, career and navigating life with all its twists and turns.  I will miss the loooooooong talks, laughter and generous heart.  Her spirit lives on in Devin and Georgianne and all of us whose lives she touched.  Rest in peace, sister.  I love you.
