Transcendence
A poem by, Angela Washington Petta

The cacophony of emotions, swirling about my mind, heart & soul are leaving me feeling weary & full of dispair.

The transcendence of my parents souls leaves me aware of my raw emotions, but not without care.

Heavy in heart & missing their kind hearts, it is the hardest day of my life, but I too shall continue to live my life with flare.

Mom & Dad are in the light, & though I try with my might, to fight back the tears of my heart that tear.

All that I am, all that I know comes from 46 chromosomes.

Thank you Mom & Dad for the life you blessed me with, your love, your kindness & you always cared.

I miss you both so much.
