Donna's obituary

Donna Taylor passed away June 24, 2020 at the age of 85. Donna was born August 3, 1934 in Binford, North Dakota and was the oldest of 4 children. When Donna was young the family moved to Foreston, Minnesota and she graduated from Milaca High School in 1952.

After high school, she attended The Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis graduating in 1955. She then went to Temple, Texas to work at the VA Hospital.

Donna married Jack Taylor on January 26, 1958 in Temple, Texas and they lived in Galveston and Houston.

After their daughter Malinda was born in Houston in 1959, they moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and then to St. Louis, Missouri where Jack attended Logan College of Chiropractic.

Donna’s son Dan was born in St. Louis in 1962. Besides having 2 children, Donna worked as an RN to help support Jack in college. Jack graduated in 1963 and in 1966 the family settled in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Donna raised her two children by day and worked as a private duty RN by night.

In 1998, Donna, Jack and daughter Malinda moved to South Pasadena, Florida where Donna lived her remaining days.

At a young age, Donna made her choice to serve God, and finished faithfully.

Donna and Jack enjoyed special travels to Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. Donna also loved her visits to family and friends in North Dakota, Saskatchewan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington state and other places. She also loved getting visitors in Florida. Donna was known for her hospitality and served organic, filling, and delicious meals.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Jack Taylor, her parents Thelford and Bertha Larson, her sister Marilyn Hesebeck, and her two brothers Ronald Larson and Denley Larson.

Donna is survived by her daughter Malinda Taylor of Tarpon Springs, Florida, her son Dan (Tonya) Taylor of Duvall, Washington and her grandchildren Jacqueline and Julia Taylor of Duvall, Washington.

Donna will be buried next to her husband at Anderson Cemetery in Stanwood, Washington.
