I was lucky to meet Donna in early 2024 and allowed to follow her journey. She always made me laugh with her wit and quiet humor. I always loved hearing stories of her favorite rooster. 

Through Betty Selby, Donna asked if I (Gaylene) would be willing to paint a mural on their church wall. I felt the Lord gave me something and I said yes. But then opened it up to be a mural that the group I led, Coastal Creatives, could do together. Being my first try at a group effort like that, the mural flopped and they had to paint over it.  Donna and Bette were very gracious. I learned that it is better to just obey God than try to add on to what He wants to do. God used it for my good even though I missed the opportunity to see what He would accomplish through me had I trusted him and myself more.
