Donna Kay Nicholson, born on December 17, 1941 in Idabel Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Harker Heights, Texas on May 2, 2024.

Donna enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in education from which she retired from in 2012. She dedicated herself to her work with integrity and grit, earning the respect of her colleagues and peers. Donna made the move to Lakeway, Texas in 2006. In Lakeway, she found a strong and welcoming community.

Donna spent her free time engaging in a wide range of activities. From exploring new countries through travel, to expressing herself in writing, to caring for her beloved pets. She derived great joy from these endeavors, and they were a testament to her zest for life and her unending curiosity.

Education was a cause particularly close to Donna's heart. She believed deeply in its ability to open doors and shape futures, and she was always eager to support initiatives that championed this belief. Her contributions to this cause will long be remembered, and her legacy will continue to make an impact on lives.

Donna is survived by her son, Gary Nicholson, and a brother, Raymond (Keith) Marshall.
