There are many stories I could share of Donna, she was an awesome force of a mother, and I felt fortunate to experience some of her light through my friendship with Clara. It always brightened my day when I learned Donna would pick us up after high school, in her classic red Jeep, and she'd remark how hungry we must be, and in and out of a drive thru we'd go, always a special treat. She always made sure there was food, and it was the best food! Friday night pizza nights (maybe I found myself at Clara's on many a Friday night :D), the beef stroganoff.... my favorite thing she made, dumpling soup, spaghetti, crepes.... seriously so many grateful food comas. Food and friendship always linger as strong memories, but our time in Ireland on an educational tour with Donna, Clara, Julie and others was life-changing. This was such a magical place, clearly loved by Donna and she shared this love with others by making the trip possible for all of us. I'll never forget the beauty, peace, and dreams that have bloomed inside me for years due to Donna making the trip a reality for us.
