Donna's obituary

Donna Marie Harlow, a beloved daughter, wife, aunt, friend, and mentor, passed away on January 21, 2024, in Cumming, Georgia. Born on January 1, 1949, Donna dedicated her life to helping others and spreading love through her art and community involvements.

Donna was a gifted quilter, bringing warmth and beauty to every stitch she made. Her generosity and caring nature extended beyond her craft as she served as a sponsor, guiding and supporting those in need. She had a special talent for brightening any room she entered, filling it with her infectious light.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Donna had a deep love for dragonflies, anything purple, and spreading kindness in any way she could. She was the kind of person who would answer her phone at 3:00 am if you needed her. Her hugs were renowned, offering comfort and solace to all who received them. Truly, Donna was one of the most selfless individuals to grace this earth.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and inspiration that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Donna's life will be held on Friday, January 26th, at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, located at 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia. For further information, please contact the funeral home at 770-887-2388.

In the springtime, another memorial will be held in Colorado. Details for this gathering will be determined at a later date. Donna requested that her ashes be sprinkled in the Eagle River, nestled in the beautiful Colorado mountains, a place she cherished deeply.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna’s memory to Forsyth Humane Society at Forsythhumane.org.

Donna Harlow will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her impact on the lives she touched will continue to resonate, reminding us to spread kindness, embrace creativity, and live selflessly. May she rest in eternal peace.
