Donna's obituary

I was born Donna Lou Howell on September 26, 1960, in Shreveport, La. to Richard Thomas Howell, Jr. and Effie La Nell Murray

Howell. I grew up on Corbitt Street in Shreveport, La. That was such a fun time back then. I had Mom and Dad to take

care of me, and really no worries....until I grew up.. I pretty much had a hard life after that.. I didn't have much, but I appreciated what

I was blessed with. People need to learn to be thankful for what they do have, and honor God with what they have.

I married at a young age and went on to have two sons. My heartaches soon began, and my health starting deteriorating. Later,

I married Russell and he helped me raise my boys who call him Dad. I know Russell will be lost without me, but I have asked Jesus

to help him, along with my siblings. I know this is hard for them.

I was preceeded in death (I just hate that word), but "Oh death, where is your sting?" Jesus took care of that too. Anyway, like I

was saying, some of my family left before I did...My Mom and Dad, Richard and La Nell Howell, my baby brother, Scott Murray

Howell, my grandparents on Moms side, C. Aurther Murray and Doris "Miss Pearl" Bell Murray Sanford, great grandparents

George and Effie Bell from Many, La. Also, my precious aunts whom I loved dearly, Doris LouEllen Murray Shoemaker, Dorless

Beshea Murray, my uncle Benny Murray, my precious cousin, Tammie Murray Crittenden..Oh! I was so happy to see them! Then

I turned and there was my baby son, Thomas Wayne Goodman! And there was Melissa Leach LaForrest, my niece.

I left behind my husband Russell Gaspard. I am sorry Russ... My sisters will help you. They will be there for you. I also left

behind my oldest son, Ronnie Dale Goodman, Jr., several grandchildren, Kayla Nicole Byrd Emerson, Timothy and John Goodman,

little J.T. Bass and Trevor Morgan., numerous nieces and nephews, although I didn't see you much, your Aunt Donna loved each and everyone of you.

I also left behind my sisters whom I loved so very much. Carolyn Howell Burleson "C.C." Canady, and her husband Jerry. My sister,

Deborah Lynn Howell Leach Campbell, Angela Faith Young, and our sister from another mother Barbara Kay Cross. My brother,

Benny Wayne Howell, little bro, I know you will be lost. I loved all of my family so much.

My " GOING HOME " Celebration will be at Aulds Funeral Home on E. Kings Hwy, in Shreveport, La.. Wednesday evening

visitation for family is at 4:30-6:00 and for my friends from 6:00-8:00. My celebration service will be Thursday morning at 11:00.

My burial will be at Forest Park West.

My oldest sister will be officiating at my service.

My Pallbearers will be: A.J. Gaspard, Wayne Gaspard, Hunter Festervan, Keith Festervan, John Thomas Leach, Jr., and

Binky Rutherford.

I loved each and everyone of you, and I know it is hard for you right now. We will see each other again. I am at peace, surrounded

by love. I have no more pain and no heartaches. And the best part is when you all get here, there will be no more parting from

each other, EVER AGAIN!!
