The world experienced a great loss on November 26th, 2021, when Donna Jean Foster Simmons, 59, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away at Inova Fairfax Hospital surrounded by her loved ones after a nearly two-year-long courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was an admired and respected leader, a loving and nurturing mother, a trusted friend, and a loving attentive wife. She was the greatest confidante one could ask for with a heart full of love, compassion, and kindness. She had wisdom beyond her years and a guiding hand that was able to touch any soul she came near.

Donna is survived by her three children, who were her entire world, Andrew Lynn Simmons, Hannah Jane Simmons, and Jacob Foster Simmons, and her husband who cared for her through it all, Dale Lynn Simmons.

She is also survived by her siblings: Margie Jane Harold, John Robert Foster, Darlene Foster, Joann Foster, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (12650 Aden Road, Nokesville, Virginia 20181). A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Victory Baptist Church or Inova Fairfax Hospital ICU.
