Donna Ruth Fincher, 77, passed away on December 02, 2022, after a short battle with Alzheimer's disease with her family at her side.

 Donna, born on October 04, 1945 to two loving parents, Robert, and Madeline Weingart in Jamaica Queens, New York. She was a bundle of joy from the very beginning, and she was the center of her parents lives. Donna was a very proud military brat, and moved around throughout her childhood.  After graduating from high school from Heidelberg, Germany in 1963.  She gave birth to a son Robert, and moved to California.   Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Donna’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.  Donna enjoyed pastimes such as going to concerts and spending time at the beach. She loved her friends and getting together dearly.  Donna loved to cook, her grandchildren will never forget her wonderful German meals. Donna was predeceased by her parents Robert Anthony Weingart, and Madeline Josephine Weingart. She is survived by her son Robert Harold Smith, her grandchildren Alyssa, (Austen) Parris, Damon Smith, Rachel Smith, and her great grandchildren Brooklyn Parris, Kayden Smith, and Carver Parris. A celebration of life will be on December 10, 2022, at Schertz United Methodist Church at 2pm.
