Donna's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donna "Katie" Etchison Marrs. Born on October 28, 1946, Donna left us on August 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of loved ones and memories of a life well-lived.
Donna is survived by her spouse, Paul Marrs; her daughter, Jennifer Lasell; her son, William Ferguson; and her brother, Mickey King. Also continuing to carry her spirit are her nephews, Steve Smith, Richard Smith, Steve Stockwell, and Michael Smith, and her grandchildren, Jasper Marrs, Elliot Lasell, and Forrest Lasell. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Glennis Smith.
A woman of intelligence and charm, Donna was known and loved for her funny, loving personality. She had a profound love of music and books and shared and passed on lessons to those around her. Notably, she held a PhD in Psychology, a testament to her love of learning and commitment to understanding the human mind.
Her legacy will undoubtedly be love - the love she had for her family, her friends, and her seven beloved chihuahuas, who will undoubtedly miss her deeply. Donna’s life was a tapestry of loving relationships and moments of joy, and all who knew her will feel the absence of her warm spirit.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Donna’s memory may contribute to the "Help with Funeral Expenses" fund at https://everloved.com/life-of….
Donna's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but the love she shared and the life she led will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
