Just want to say how much I miss my Mom & how special she is & was to all of us. Her school & other friends & families she cherished: She loved going to the Del Mar horse races & throwing dice with the ladies & always had a good time! Looking back a lot on her love & accomplishments makes me look forward to being with her again in Heaven ❤️. . . Joy everlasting. . .

Too late to stop shootings?

Re “Can we do anything about mass shootings?” (Question of the Week, May 22): Press Enterprise

Maybe it’s too late to stop school gun violence. Maybe we should look back in time to the ’50s and early ’60s when there was no gun violence in schools and very little elsewhere.

Maybe we should have kept prayer in schools, enforced rules and discipline, respect for teachers, light nonviolent movies and TV shows and enforced laws. Maybe we should’ve seen it coming.

IT'S  HARD TO BELIEVE SHE'S BEEN GONE FOR 2 YEARS.  WE GO BACK MANY DECADES AND I CERTAINLY MISS HER HER BEAUTIFUL SMILE AND HER WONDERFUL LAUGH.  SENDING LOVE TO HER ENTIRE FAMILY.
So sorry for your loss. We really enjoyed spending time with Donna at all the family gatherings and birthday parties over the years. She will sorely be missed but we are looking forward to seeing her again!
Donna will always be in my heart and memories. She was such fun to be with, and share everything with each other. I always looked forward to playing pool with our little group , and our lunch get togethers. My condolences to the family. Although I only knew Mark and David, she told me about her family and she was very proud of you. I will always miss her but know I'll see her again.
Grandma Donna always had the best food. I loved going to her house during Christmas time and eating her Christmas cookies. I used to beg my mom to ask Donna to send me cookies for the holidays. She always sent me a birthday card and encouraged me to go to college. I just remember coming to the ranch and hanging out with her and Uncle Mark. She was honestly a light in this world and I can’t believe she’s gone.
Dave, remembering our fun times at Mule Days, and how kind Donna always was to Joe.
I’ll be thinking about Donna every time I have to go feed. I’ll take over your saying “well gotta go feed, see ya guys” I know she’ll be watching me on my Ranch
We send our condolences to Donna's family and friends. She was a strong woman. Our daughters, Melissa and Meagan, looked up to her for her positive attitude. RIP. Brian and Claudia
So horribly sorry. She was such an amazing woman. My memories of her go far back and always remind me of the great fun we had. She will be missed but thought of with love by all who knew her.
Shared a heart Red heart
