Donna's obituary

Donna Ellen Barringer, 72, of Findlay Ohio, passed away October 7th, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She chose to have no service . She instead hoped that you remember the good times.

She was a Methodist who had a strong Faith in her vows and knew that God was always with her.

She is preceded in death by her Father; Robert Hendricks, her Mother; Ruth Younkin, a Step-father; George Younkin, Mother-in-law; Jean Barringer, Father-in-law; Harold Barringer, and a Sister-in-law; Lois Barringer.

She is survived by Husband; David Barringer, Sister; Marilyn Eaton, Sister; Carolyn Ritter, Brother-in-law; Dan Barringer, Uncle; Bud & Susan Barringer, Daughter; Wanda Raible, Two Sons; Todd  & Chadd Barringer , Daughter-in-law; Debbie Barringer,  along with many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Donna was born in Findlay, Ohio in 1949. She married David in 1965 where they resided in several towns throughout Ohio until 1980 when they relocated to Bradenton, Florida. She earned her Associates Degree in her early 20’s which gave her a fulfilling career as the Manager of several different shoe stores over the years. She also worked as a baker in many grocery stores and high end bakeries.

In 2008, shortly after her retirement, she and David moved back to their family roots in Findlay, Ohio where she spent quality time with her mother, family and friends.  She was active in Operation Christmas child for many years and loved making bracelets to put in the boxes.  She loved cats and had one most of her life.  She was a member of several different car clubs.  Receiving her baked goods and homemade candy , nicely wrapped, with thoughtful notes, will be greatly missed by many.

She traveled to several different places in the U.S.  Her main interests were Native American History, Family Genealogy, and Our National Parks.  Glacier National Park was her favorite. She loved to fly but didn't get to do much of it and never traveled outside the U.S.    In her younger days, she loved sailing.  We sailed all over Lake St. Marys and Lake Erie.

She fought many battles over her life but always remained kind, considerate and caring.

May she rest in peace with Our God in Heaven.  Amen
