Don was one of the best people I’ve ever known. My best memories of him were when I would be in attendance with the family at some event or family gathering and we would all hold hands and pray. He would lead the prayer and I always felt I was surrounded by his love and holiness. It was a very blessed feeling and I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity to experience that several times. I know it is still so hard on his family to live every day without him. I pray for them.

My condolences to Donny I met Donny in grade school at Evendale Elementary. Played on the sixth grade basketball team together. Played high school ball with Don ,one year of summer baseball with Ray Atha , we had many battles in baseball where he played for Sharonville and I played for  Evendale I think we came out on top most of the time lol. I used to make deliveries to Westrock and one day lo and behold there was Donny on the dock from then on every time I came there, I would even go to his office and have conversations. My heart goes out to Debbie  and family I know what it is to lose a spouse to cancer I lost my wife at 59. This is a hard part we know where Donny is, gone way way too soon and we are left with memories. Grieving is hard really hard.My prayers are with Debbie to give you strength and courage to get through this period of your life.God bless you.

I’ve known Don for 60 years. I have a picture of him and I on our first Baseball team. He was 6 , I was 5 .

We went to School together and ended up working for Westrock together.

I’ve never know a better man EVER. My heart goes out to Debbie and the family.

His passing has left a huge hole in so many people’s life. He will be missed.  Debbie was right in saying he had so many friends from every walk of life.

There are not adequate words to describe how heartbroken so many people are about Don’s passing. The only thing that outweighs the sadness is the love in our hearts for Debbie and the whole family. Don was a true gift to the world as you were such a gift to him Debbie. Your faith and love as a family are one of a kind. I hope you can absorb the love and light that will be surrounding you in these difficult days ahead!

Debbie, We cannot express the sorrow we feel for your entire family as well as for our church family.  Don was genuine, charming, and wonderfully amazing.  He always had the nicest smile on his face and burst of happiness in his heart.  He will be greatly missed . . . until we join him in heaven.  Love and prayers for you all.  Beverly and Mitch Zalar

So sorry for your loss.
