Papa was the best. He would always make me feel welcome and loved. He would also call me in the middle of the night or whatever time in the morning and I would wake up and see a bunch of missed calls. Sometimes he would leave voicemails for me. Sometimes they were for someone else haha. But they would make me laugh and feel loved. He had a way of making everyone feel loved. He even called me his granddaughter and that was so special to me. I miss you, papa. I hope you are telling everyone all of your crazy, adventurous life stories up there. I loved those. I know you are keeping an eye on all of us down here. You will be greatly missed, and remembered often.

I used to cook Don dinner every time I came to visit, which was often. A few weeks ago I cooked him dinner even though he fell asleep before we ate. We brought dominoes to play but we never got to it. I’d do again 1,000 times, no regrets. Don was one of my best friends. I miss him enormously.
