Donald's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Earl Miller, Jr., also fondly known as Rus or Rusty, born on October 22, 1968,. He took his last breath on June 21, 2023, after a long struggle following a significant stroke in 2022.
A cherished son to his late father, Donald Earl Miller, Sr., and his surviving mother, Ramona (Spooner) Miller, Donald was an individual who never met a stranger and could strike a conversation with anyone. His warm personality and friendly nature will forever be remembered.
Donald's schooling began in Oxbow High School in Bradford, Vermont, graduating in 1986. He later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he earned a Drafting Certification from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1988. The accomplishment marked him as a dedicated and determined individual.
He will be dearly missed by his sister, Veronica Austin, niece and nephews, Kylie Honeycutt-Korth, Keaton Austin, and Seth Austin, and his large circle of extended family and friends.
Donald was a devoted fund raiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause close to his heart. His benevolence and selfless heart reached many children and families, touching their lives positively.
His passion for art was evident in his profound love for tattoos, drawn not just on his body, but also on the canvas of his soul.
Donald was an ardent sports enthusiast, as seen in his unwavering support for the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. His voice, cheering for his teams, would fill any room with infectious enthusiasm.
Donald will be remembered for his warmth, friendliness, love for art and sports, and his tireless efforts to help the less fortunate. His vibrant spirit will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew him.
