Donald Hugh McIntyre, aged 58, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, passed away on November 2, 2025.

Donald was born on January 28, 1968, in San José, Costa Rica, to Sonia and Hugh McIntyre. He was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he attended St. Andrew’s Scots School.

Donald later lived in Miami, Florida, where he worked as a wealth management professional. It was there that he shared his life with Patricia, and where his three children, Donald, Nicolas, and Maria, were born. Above all else, Donald cherished being a father even in moments where he could not be present. He later remarried, and lived in Denver with Nancy.

In his youth, Donald was a gifted athlete and rugby player, as well as a talented artist, singer, and performer. He starred in school musicals and earned recognition for his acting abilities, including co-starring in the film Miss Mary with Julie Christie during his high school years. Through intelligence, discipline, and determination, Donald built a successful career in wealth management in Miami, earning recognition and advancement through his own efforts and capabilities. He later returned to Argentina during the dot-com boom and launched Dineronet.com, a significant entrepreneurial venture. In his later years, Donald devoted himself to teaching and advocating for cryptocurrency, particularly Ethereum Classic, a field he studied deeply and believed in strongly.

Donald was known for his generosity, wit, loyalty, and strong ethical compass. In the later years of his life, he found his faith and grew close to God.

Donald is survived by his children; his parents, Sonia and Hugh; his sister, Monica; his stepbrother, Roberto; and his stepsister, Victoria.

A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Denver, Colorado, on December 20th at 11:00 a.m. This will be a private service for family and close friends.
