Donald's obituary

Donald Lee Anderson Jr., 65, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Hawthorne, California.

Born on January 6, 1960, and raised in San Bernardino, California, Donald attended school in San Bernardino, where many of his early friendships and memories were formed. He lived a life marked by both challenges and resilience. He spent much of his later years working in security and striving to build stability for himself and his family. In his own way and in his own time, he worked to grow, change, and create a better path forward — something those closest to him deeply respected.

Donald had a lively sense of humor and a personality that could light up a room. He loved sports, especially the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oakland Raiders, and found joy in low riding, cruising, and relaxing days at the beach. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and valued time spent with the people he loved most.

Above all, Donald was a father, grandfather, brother, and family man. His journey was not perfect, but it was real, and his love for his children and family never wavered. He will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, and the effort he made to be better each day.

He is survived by his sons, Avery Anderson and Tyler Hunt; his daughter, Michelle Anderson; his grandchildren; his sisters, Tanya Anderson Franklin, Rhonda Anderson, and Valerie Green; his brother, Virgil Green; his stepbrother, Clinton Anderson; and his stepsister, Donna Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gwendolyn Rose Hamilton and Donald Lee Anderson; his brother, Tony Walker; and his beloved son, Devante Smith.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
