Donald's obituary

Donald Carl Holly Sr., 66, passed away on February 27, 2025.

Born in Elmira on February 26, 1959, Donald spent his life dedicated to his work, his family, and his passions. He built a career in restaurant management, most recently serving as a regional manager for Roaring Fork Restaurant Group, where he was known for his hard work, leadership, and kindness. Donald truly loved what he did, taking pride in his role and forming lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike.

Above all, Donald cherished his time with his family, especially his sons and grandchildren. He was an amazing grandfather, always present and eager to share in their lives. His warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Donald is survived by his beloved children, including sons Donald Holly Jr. and Frank Holly, their mother Phyllis Holly, his daughter-in-law Carissa Romero, his cherished grandchildren Leo Holly and Miles Holly, as well as his siblings: Doug, David, Caryl and Linda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Dean Holly and Carl Holly, and his brothers, Ronnie Holly and Dennis Holly.

Donald’s legacy lives on in the memories of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His kindness, dedication, and love will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd.
