Donald (Don) Latz Hoffman, born in Rochester, NY, died today at the age of 86. Don was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s several years earlier and he spent each day tenaciously clinging to his memories and daily routines for as long as he could. Don achieved the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, serving as a fighter jet pilot stationed at airbases in Portland, Oregon and New Castle, Delaware.
