Hello. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Don via an entrepreneurial group "Eliances," in Scottsdale about ten years ago. I recently ran into the owner of the group and asked about Don [as I had thought about him over the years] to find out that he has since passed. I am very sorry to hear this and am offering my condolences to the family [of which Don spoke of very proudly and fondly]. It was so exciting to hear about all of his shipping magnate stories along with entrepreneurial ideas and insights [I looked up to him!] He was a big picture thinker, and genuinely happy to be alive- his energy was contagious. It takes courage to try new things and adventure outside the box, and Don had that gene which was inspiring to all. I would say "rest in peace," but that doesn't fit for his gregarious soul- "dance in heaven" sounds more like it!
As time goes by, I am constantly reminded of Don’s impact on me. He was just truly inspirational. He loved his family and I am a better person because of Don.
Sorry to hear that Don Hannah, my cousin, is deceased. His mother Margaret was my father Arthur Marshall Olsen ‘s sister. Just yesterday 16 Apr 2023 on TV I watched the old film “Splash” with Don’s daughter Daryl Hannah.
