I was so sorry to hear about Donald's passing. He was such a [ adjective ] and [ adjective ] person.

My condolences to Don’s family.

I often think back warmly on the hospitality and graciousness Don and Rosalie displayed during our visits to them.

How well Don and Rosalie took care of Thelma during her time with them was inspiring.

I will always remember Don as an outstanding person for his service to his country and his dedication to his family and church.

Don and Rosalee and later, Janet have been wonderful Lakes of Mount Dora friends. We will mis Dr. Don. He was a great guy and true friend.

Our condolences to all of Don's family.  He was a wonderful person and this is a hard time. Our prayers are with you.

I first met Don in 1983 at Concordia College Bronxville NY when I applied for - and got - an ESL position.  He was a wonderful boss and soon he and Rosalie became good friends with the two of us.  One of my favorite memories is how he and Rosalie started a dinner club that Paul and I enthusiastically joined.  We had some of the best, creative meals together with the group from Concordia.  Another early memory is when the four of us took a tour through Massachusetts in their camper, only to break down on the very last leg of the journey on the Post Road, just north of Concordia College.  In later years after Paul and I left the NYC area, we met up in several different places, primarily in Florida, including twice when we met up during lawn bowling tournaments that Don was participating in.  The last time we saw Don was this winter, 2023, when we got to meet Janet and have breakfast together in Mt. Dora.  We'll miss you Don.
