I just happen upon Mr. Drottboom’s story a few years after his passing.
He was a teacher at CPHS back in 1974 and was iconic as he was unique. His big mustache and strong voice got one and alls attention with authority and interest.
I bought a house in University Place around 1990 and found out with amazement Mr. Drottboom was a previous owner!!! That just gave me extra bragging rights as to also being neighbors to the Pointer Sisters brother.
He will always be a name to share with older school chums and neighbors that are still in the know.
My belated condolences to the Drottbooms and all the other fans of Mr. D.

Upon returning home to Washington in 2016 my grandfather and I spent a lot of time together. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandsons and was always elated to be around them. Grandpa and I spent many days together as I cared for him in his final years. I will always cherish our time together, and the stories, history, and laughs we shared together.
