I remember Don when he (we called him Donny then) and David (Davey) visited Grandma and Grandpa Coats while we were all growing up.   Then, much later, when he and Prem were vagabonding throughout the U.S.  in their motor-home,  we saw them in California- once near the sea in Santa Barbara, as well as in the desert near Palm Springs.  We had a wonderful picnic together in the Saguaro National Park.  We will miss Don, who was always a positive and enthusiastic man, a perfect cousin.  Donna Coats Friedman (and David Curry)

We are so sad to hear of Don's passing.  We enjoyed him & Prem's visits to us while they were living in Oregon, we did hiking with them at Crater lake & Smith Rocks.  He will be greatly missed & our thoughts are with you.

Paul has done an excellent job of recounting Don's life and loves. It's very hard for me to believe my brother is gone, he has been such a big part of my life.  I loved and will miss Don, and I know that I was blessed to have him as my brother.
