Donald Campbell, Age 62
On March 23, 2025, Donald Campbell Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach, and friend entered eternal life. Donald leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a spirit of humor.
Donald was born on December 26, 1962, in Houma, Louisiana to Donald Campbell Sr. and Eula Mae Burns. He was raised by his beloved grandparents Nathan and Nida Campbell in Louisiana. Donald’s faith was strong. He found Christ at a very early age. He dedicated his life to Christ as a member of Resident Baptist Church in Louisiana. Donald graduated from South Terrebonne High School Class of 1981 and attended Nicholls State University.
A life well lived and blessed beyond measure; this was Donald’s life. He proudly served our nation as a military service member and retired from the United States Air Force in 2005. In May 2015, he married Corletta Nichole (Mackey). He was a devoted girl dad to three exceptional women and one exceptional four-legged fur baby. Donald loved God, golfing, coaching, music, and his beloved Saints.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother Eula Mae Burns, his grandparents Nathan and Nida Campbell, Lilian Lewis and Charles Burns, and his sister LaDonna Campbell. Donald is survived by his wife Corletta Nichole, father Donald Campbell Sr., his daughters Katrina Ellis, Donielle Campbell, Jasmine Gossett, and Zuri Campbell, and his granddaughters Jada, Zoey, Harleen, and Raven. He is also survived by his siblings Lois, Chris, Timothy, Angela, Dominic, Nathan, Edward, Lance, Wade, a host of nieces and nephews and Nayahbinghi Akinyele (first wife).
