Lieber Donald, it will soon be 5 years since you left us. But I still think of you often, you will remain forever in my memory - as you will for so many of your former colleagues and friends in Vienna!

For me, you were without doubt one of the last true gentlemen. I liked your elegantly reserved demeanor, your fine manners, your clever and sometimes sharp, but never crude humor, your excellent taste, your passion for art, literature, antiques, your love of animals - especially your sweet Boots - I appreciated your expertise and your collegiality and the fact that you could simply get along with EVERYONE! And of course, never forgotten will be your inimitable qualities as a host! No matter how many guests you had, a small circle of friends or a big event, you always managed to make everyone feel special and spoiled and pampered. You really were unbeatable!

You have left your traces, lieber Donald, which have been deeply engraved and can no longer be erased. We hold you in honorable and loving memory.
