Donald E. Wilhelm, Sr., aged 88, of Springfield, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a dedicated member of his church community. His unwavering devotion to his family and his kind, gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on December 13, 1935, Don grew up in Marion, Ohio, and was retired from the FBI. He married the love of his life, Diane McAndrew, on June 20, 1970, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Gregory and Helen Wilhelm, and is survived by his wife Diane, son Donnie, grandson Cameron, and three brothers: Jerry, John, and Jim.

Visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home at 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA on Wednesday May 29, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 8800 Braddock Road, Annandale, VA on Thursday May 30, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
