Donny's obituary

Don “Donny” Warren Jr., age 62 of Hardin, MT passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Big Horn County Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 on the bluff on Warren Loop, at 2:00pm. Reception to follow at Big Horn County Fairgrounds.

Donny was born on September 16, 1959, in Hardin, Montana to the late Don Sr. and Dixie Warren. He is survived by his three children Heidi(Adam) Guay of Texas, Cadie Warren(Matt Hill) of Hardin, and Rider(Amanda) Warren of Hardin; nine grandchildren Caidynce, Abe, Ayce, RyLee, Asher, Connley, Freddy, and Hazlee; two sisters Debbie Zink and Denna Vandersloot, one brother Dan Warren; and his mother Dixie Warren. He is preceded in death by Don Warren Sr.

Donny spent his youth on the Warren Feedlot and Farm in Dunmore, Mt. He attended Hardin High School enjoying wrestling and his many friendships. He loved being a dad to his three great kids and watching their various sports, rodeos, and outdoor activities. Throughout his life he had the privilege of being a cowboy, farming, working with his sister at the Shiny Diner, operating equipment on the Pipeline, and his final return to farming. He especially appreciated his time farming the Warren Homestead this summer. His highlights included his trips to Alaska and cooking for those that love to eat, often known as one of the best cooks around. His table was always open. A man of many hobbies that included camping, reading, gardening, cooking, photography, shooting, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, a good joke, and the occasional conspiracy theory.

His family would like to thank all extended family and friends.

A kind-hearted man will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
