Don Daly, 74, of Miami, Florida, went to heaven on March 21, 2025. He was born in St. Mary, Jamaica on September 4, 1950. Don Daly graduated from St. Mary High School and received a Master’s Degree from SUNY: Stonybrook University. He was married to Alreca Daly.

Don was a radio and TV broadcaster who started the Conscious Rhythm radio show on WVCG1080am in 1986, which later became called The Caribbean Upliftment Program. Don was very active in his communities. He was the co-founder of the largest medical mission to Jamaica serving thousands of people in underserved areas twice a year in partnership with NOVA Southeastern University. He held Town Hall meetings which featured guest speakers and lawyers to speak on panels and one-on-one with guests on various topics on a regular basis.

Don was more than a broadcaster, more than a businessman, more than a philanthropist—he was a force of nature and shining light to anyone who met him. A man whose voice carried across radio waves and into the hearts of thousands, connecting the Caribbean to South Florida and beyond. Through his renowned radio show, he didn’t just share the news; he shared the rhythm and soul of a people, making listeners feel at home, no matter where in the world they were.

His work earned him countless accolades, proclamations, awards, and recognition including from Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but Don never did it for recognition. He did it because it was who he was - a man who found joy in giving, who found purpose in serving, and who found happiness in the success of others.

He is survived by his wife Alreca, his children Danika and Yannick, his sisters Monica Robinson and Clover Daly, granddaughter Harper, and many cousins and close friends.

A Viewing will be held on April 4, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at Van Orsdel North Kendall. The Service will be streamed on April 5, 2025 at 12pm.
