Dearest family and friends,
We are deeply moved by the tremendous out pouring of love and compassion shown to our daughter, Dominique as well as to us. Reading each comment gave us strength and hope to carry on in the loss of our daughter.
Dominique did her work for the Lord in a quiet, yet impactful way that influenced all she came in contact with--that's our Dominique.
Prospere and I thank you all for giving us these heart-felt memories that will be used as fuel when we find ourselves running on empty.
Thank you for being such a great support for our daughter in every way. We will never forget. You will always be in our hearts and there you will stay.
A special thank you to the students in French class at Roger Park Middle School.
With love and appreciation,
Prospere & Beverley
PS: I would like to share with you a letter that I wrote to my daughter, Dominique, on the day she went home to be with the Lord:
Oh my daughter, why so soon, why have you left me so soon? Were you tired here on this earth? Were you weary? I already miss you, my love, my heart, my soul.
I promised the Lord that my job on earth was not complete until I saw you through your journey, your goal, your accomplishments. Where do I stand now? What do I have to live for now? You were a big part of my life- a reason for my strength, my hope, my courage and my drive to live.
There is a great void in my heart that I don't know if it ever will be filled again. I miss you my momo.
I keep seeing flashes of you as they try to revive you as your heart began to fail. I could only cry out the name of Jesus- to return you to me; but He has other plans for you, only 22 years young. This one I can't understand.
You came into this world a miracle child- the way you were conceived. In my eyes you had longevity on your side; but I soon realized that tomorrow is promised to noone. Farewell my love, until we meet again,
Mom
