It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dodie McCray on June 26, 2023. Born on January 7, 1956, Dodie lived a life rich in love, warmth, and resilience. She has now found her rest and is free from pain.

Dodie will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her devoted children, Sadie and Jackson McCray, who she was incredibly proud of. The bond she shared with her beloved granddaughter, Rose McCray, was truly special and Rose will continue to carry her grandmother's legacy forward.

A fervent supporter of the Los Angeles Rams, Dodie was often found cheering for her team with unmatched enthusiasm. Her love for the beach was evident in how she spent her recreational time, finding solace in the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand beneath her feet.

Dodie's favorite local spot was San Pedro, California, a place that held many dear memories for her and where she created many more with her family and friends. To those who knew her, Dodie was the epitome of a caring and warm-hearted individual. Her kindness and her ability to love unconditionally will remain etched in the hearts of all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Dodie's proudest accomplishment was her family. The love and dedication she imparted to her children and granddaughter were a testament to her relentless strength and nurturing nature. She fought hard until the very end, embodying the resilience that she was so well known for.

As we say our goodbyes, we remember Dodie for the incredible woman she was - a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and an irreplaceable presence in our lives. Her spirit will continue to live on through the memories we shared and the love she left behind.
