Dixie's obituary

We mourn the loss of Dixie "Bea" Reynolds, a beloved mother, Nana, friend and community member who passed away on March 16, 2024. Born on August 24, 1954, Dixie was known to many as Bea, but she preferred the name Dixie. The warmth of her heart, the lightheartedness of her spirit, and her unwavering loyalty to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Dixie dedicated her life to her family, especially her daughter, Roxanne Winegar, who survives her. The bond between them was a testament to Dixie's role as a nurturing and selfless mother. Dixie's strength and love will continue to guide Roxanne in the days to come.

Remembered as warm-hearted, fun, and loyal, Dixie was someone who brought joy to every space she occupied. Her laughter and great sense of humor were infectious and brightened any room she entered. Her unwavering loyalty to her family and friends was a clear display of her love and commitment.

Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, a reflection of her belief in love, sacrifice, and eternal life: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." She lived this verse in her actions every day, showing love and compassion to everyone around her.

A memorial gathering in honor of Dixie will be held on August 24, 2024, at 5 o’clock at the Owens Family Cemetery, Cranesnest Road in Vansant, VA. We invite those who knew and loved her to join in celebrating her life and remembering the joy and love she brought into the world.

We mourn Dixie's passing, but take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved. Her smile, her laugher, and her heart will forever be missed.
