Dianne's obituary

Dianne Ellen Wilson

August 19, 1947 – July 8, 2025

Dianne Ellen Wilson, 77, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025. Born on August 19, 1947, in Indianapolis, Dianne's life was one of creativity, resilience, and deep devotion to family.

Dianne grew up in a loving home alongside her three brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Oliver and Mary Wilson, as well as her brother, Daniel Wilson. Her brothers, Richard Wilson and Dr. Donald Wilson, remained close with Dianne throughout her life. She cherished their phone calls and frequent lunch get-togethers.

Bloomington became Dianne’s lifelong home, where she raised her family and shared her many gifts with the community. Dianne was a talented and passionate artist, especially gifted in arts and crafts. She participated in countless craft shows and shared her creativity with others—hosting crafting get-togethers with her grandchildren and inspiring them to embrace their own artistic talents. Her love of crafting was matched only by her love for her feathered companions. Throughout her life, Dianne found joy and comfort in caring for her beloved cockatiels, who were never far from her side.

Dianne enjoyed working as a Unit Coordinator in Critical Care at Bloomington Hospital for many years. She was proud of the work and knowledge she gained there. Her final job was with Bloomington Parks & Rec, working with senior citizens, which brought her lots of joy and laughter.

She is survived by her children: Tabatha Siniard, Melanie Trendelman, Shawn Trendelman, Heather Higgins, and Kristina Westfall (Eric). Dianne's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ashley Siniard (Tucker), Breanne Siniard (Joe), Dylan Siniard (Hilal), Story Heckman, Kennedy Fellure (John), Karsen Trendelman, Riley Trendelman, Kaitlyn Caroen (Darren), Madison Higgins, Grayson Goss, Audrey Westfall, Finnegan Westfall, and Cecily Westfall. She was also very proud of her great-grandchildren Virginia Kaufmann and Jack Kaufmann.

Dianne's life was filled with love, laughter, and light. She will be remembered for her creative spirit, her generous heart, and the deep and lasting bonds she forged with everyone she loved. To her family, Dianne was more than a mother and grandmother—she was “Grammy,” the storyteller, the holiday decorator extraordinaire, the spookiest witch on Halloween, and the heart of the home. Her favorite holidays were Halloween—she delighted in dressing up in her latest witch costume—and Christmas, which she filled with warmth, laughter, and cheer.

Later in life, Dianne discovered she was adopted. She never met her birth parents, Walter Plummer and Vivian Trotter. She was able to connect with additional siblings Judy Holland and David Miles, adding another meaningful layer to her story.

A graveside service will be held to honor and celebrate her life at a later time. Information will be posted on her Facebook page.

Please remember Dianne by embracing a creative project, spending time with family, finding joy (her favorite word) in your life, or donning your best Halloween costume in her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. https://diy.lls.org/fundraise…
