Dianne Lynn Thompson passed away peacefully in her home, February 13th 2025. 

Born on May 21st in 1947 living in Smyrna, Delaware she grew up loving to cook with her grandmother, mother, and aunts. Always wanting to help out in the kitchen she became the place everyone knew they could go to for a warm meal. She has been a homemaker since falling in love with her husband John B. Thompson Jr. and joyfully married for 55 years. They blessed their lives with 3 children who they adored more than anything. There was never a time when if her children needed anything she wasn’t but a phone call away. She was a pillar for her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We will cherish the memories God gave us with her and remember the love, strength, and warmth that she blessed our lives with.

Dianne Lynn Thompson is survived by her spouse, John B. Thompson Jr; children John B. Thompson lll, Heather Krebs, Sherry Thompson; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Kristen Thompson, Samantha Thomas(Honey-Speck), Ashlee Thompson, Melisa Kemp (Thompson), and John B. Thompson lV; and great grandchildren, Johnathon, Jason, Jackson, Matthew, Haylee, Colton, Colby, and Isabella.

The family will be hosting a private memorial service following the cremation on Tuesday 2/18/2025. 

John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
