Dianne's obituary
On February 3, 2022, Dianne Joyce Butt, 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short but courageous fight with cancer.
Dianne moved to Holland Centre, Ontario in 2016 with her partner of 21 years, Herb Langpohl. She made great sacrifices and worked tirelessly on what was soon to be her dream retirement home that she fondly named Mellow Maples.
As a dedicated mother, her children made up her entire world. Her son Justin William Caceres (Jessica), daughter Mikaela Kristine Dring (Chris), and stepdaughter Nicole Oliver (Gabriel) will continue to live in her legacy. Her grandchildren Sebastian James Dring, William Jorge Caceres, Penelope Joyce Dring, Isabel Margherita Caceres and Dominic Isaac Quintana, will remember Dianne as ‘Meema’ through the memories and photographs that highlight her unconditional love.
Dianne and her sister, Carol June Gallant (Andy), shared an unbreakable bond and together ‘The Butt Sisters’ took on any challenge in unison until her last days. Dianne’s nieces Michelle and Heather, grandniece Alyssa, cousins Lisa and Tom, Aunt Mary, former husband Jorge Caceres and many other family and friends will fondly remember Dianne’s fun, loving and caring spirit.
Dianne loved to spend time in her gardens and hosting events at her beloved Mellow Maples. Always the life of the party, her contagious laugh, love of dancing, and ability to find the good in any person and circumstance will be missed by everyone who was graced by her presence.
Predeceased by her parents William Frank and Violet May Butt (nee Carpow). Dianne will be laid to rest in the same cemetery as her parents, Beechwood Cemetery in Concord, Ontario after a private funeral service.
