I was surprised to recently learn of Diane's passing. I met Diann through Nicki's Circle groups and Jodi's Race. She had a positive outlook and didn't let cancer get her down. My condolences to her family.
I received the wonderful opportunity to work with Diann at NOAA. When thinking about my time as a librarian on the team, Diann played a great role in making me feel a part of the team. In fact, upon hire, Diann took initiative to introduce me to different NOAA team members. Everyone knew Diann’s office because she was in one of the offices with the large windows on the ground floor. Diann would talk highly of her family, whom she loved very much. She loved her work and loved being at NOAA. I am sad to hear about Diann’s passing, but she surely made an impression/impact on everyone who worked with her. She will be greatly missed.
I worked with Diann at the NOAA library. She was so strong and skillful in her work and she helped me become part of the library. It was great to hear about her kids, she shared her fiber work, and was so much more than her work. Her energy will be missed!
My condolences to Diann's family. I first met Diann when she first started working at the NOAA library and we would often chitchat about everything under the sun while I was at her desk helping her with her computer. She talked a lot about her family and was so proud of all her children and was so excited and proud when little Olive came along! She enjoyed showing pictures of her precious grand baby every chance she could and we developed a very nice friendship! She will be sorely missed by me and so many others!!
May the Lord Bless and Keep you, Diann. You were such a brilliant star in a universe so brightly lit. Thank you, for all that you gave to those around you. I didn't know you personally, but my daughter loved and cared so much about and for you. You found a handicap , she didn't even know she had. You gave so much of yourself. Thank you, will always remember you and how special you were. Please Lord, look after her family and friends, that loved her so much.
