Diane's obituary

We sadly announce the passing of Diane Salkowski, born on July 8, 1958, who left us on February 17, 2025. Known for her radiant smile and nurturing nature, Diane's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Salkowski, and her daughters, Christa Sowa and Jessica Guillen. They will hold her dear memory as a testament to her strength and unconditional love. Additionally, Diane's joys included her grandchildren; Antonio, Nicolas, and Briella Guillen, and Nathan and Liliana Sowa, whose lives were enriched by her endless warmth and guidance.

Her sister, Donna DiPentino, shares a lifetime of cherished memories with Diane, including countless games of cribbage, which they enjoyed playing together. As a family, they remember Diane's love for the colour purple, reminiscences from her favorite vacation spot in Hawaii, and her passion for scrapbooking - a pastime she enjoyed with her daughter, sister, and friends.

She spent 25 plus years with Jewel Foods as a produce manager and buyer before moving to Melissa’s Produce as a Produce Buyer. Her customers and coworkers all loved her positive attitude and work with us, and the laughs she brought to work each and every day.

Nights of playing Uno with her grandchildren and sipping her favorite Dunkin iced coffee were special moments that defined Diane's simple yet meaningful life.

A Celebration of Life for Diane will be held on February 28, 2025, at 10:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home. We invite all who shared in Diane’s life journey to gather, remember and celebrate a life well-lived. Diane would have wanted us to commemorate her life with joy, reminiscing about the moments we shared, and remembering her love that continues to live on in our hearts.

While we mourn the loss of Diane, let's also celebrate her life and the love, joy, and warmth she imparted on us all. Diane Salkowski, a beautiful soul, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
