Personal note from Diane's daughter, Brooke Roney

When we lost my mom the world lost a person that quietly put good into the world every day. She put her heart and soul into the Shontz Memorial Library for 27 years and was beloved by so many patrons for her kindness and her way with children. She found ways to touch so many people in the community; delivering a holiday meal to a homebound neighbor, having a regular lunch date with a couple that needed companionship, sending cards to any and everyone to brighten their day, and so much more. She consistently gave her time and energy to the things she cared about; working elections, planning the kid's games for the neighborhood picnic, her book club, her friends, and devoting her whole self to her family.

She was usually reading more than one book at a time and always passing along a good recommendation. She read to her children and grandchildren from birth and instilled that love in us too. She had so much love for her grandkids and was always finding ways to keep her family close.

I want to make sure that the world is not entirely without her light and love. I hope that you'll help honor her life by giving back and being the good the way she did.
