Diane's obituary

Diane Mae Pepper, 75, of Anaconda, passed away at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula on September 5, 2022.

She was born on November 30, 1946 in Anaconda, to Waitsel William and Jennie Mae (Carter) Parks. She was the first of seven children and the only daughter.

Diane grew up in Anaconda and graduated in 1965. She lived in California and New York before coming back to Anaconda, where she raised her children. In her early 40's she decided to go back to school. We were so proud of her! After graduating she took a job at Southwest Montana Community Federal Credit Union, where she was employed until she retired.

She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, and was always up for family parties and get-togethers.

She was the strongest woman we knew. She was beautiful inside and out, selfless, stubborn, and had the biggest heart. She was her children's staunchest supporter and the epitome of unconditional love.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Waitsel and Jennie Parks, her Sister-in-Law Janice Parks, her youngest brother Mike Parks, and special aunt and uncle Martha and Ed Spanbauer.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberley Zanni of Helena, her son Kristopher Zanni of Anaconda, brothers Larry (Kathy) Parks, Alan (Linda) Parks, Ken (Deb) Parks, all of Anaconda, Kevin Parks of Eugene, Oregon, Randy (Kay) Parks, of Billings, Sister-in-Law Beth Parks of Butte, adopted brother Faron (Tiffany) Seibel of Las Vegas, Nevada, special cousins Ted (Mary) Spanbauer of Anaconda, and Judy (Mike) Nichols of Billings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at New Hill Cemetary on September 29th at 10:30 a.m. and a Celebration of Life potluck at the Anaconda Country Club from Noon until 3:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank Anaconda Community Hospital and Cindy Reed, Providence St Pat’s and Dr. Phil Gardner, the Anaconda Fire Department, and the past and present staff of Hearthstone for everything they did for our mom. Words can't express how thankful we are that her life was filled with such kind and caring people.
