One of the kindest and most generous people I have ever known! She kept my boys while I worked when they were very young! They loved her!! She was a sweet friend!!
I only met Dee in person once, in June 2019, but I’ve known of her since 1979. She raised my birth-son. There is a particular kind of grief when one owes so much to someone they know only peripherally. When I decided to allow my son to be adopted, I trusted these two people to be parents for him, and that trust was not misplaced. When I first knew that my son was looking, a letter he wrote was read to me, which said that his parents were generous-hearted, gave him stability, and was one of the reasons he wanted to create a family with Jasmin. My heart overflows with gratitude for both Dee and Bill. Sometimes there are debts that can never be fully repaid.
Our family still grieves over losing our cousin, DeeDee. Such a terrible loss for family and
friends.
As her oldest cousin, I baby sat for Diane each
summer. She was the the beautiful “sister” I
never had. I was such a lucky cousin to have
her in my life.
Rest In Peace, Diane
Love you for ever,
Cousin Marie and Family

I am so sorry. I am a fellow traveler who knows how essential it is to be gentle and tender with yourself as you grieve. I lost my mother when she was 49 years old. I was 22 years old. NOW I'm 80 years old, and missing my mom. Wishing it had been different. Grieving and loving her in a new way. She is present.
Thanks you for your writings. You give so much. Again, You give so much. My prayers are with you and your family.
My deepest condolences. I can relate to this because I stayed up with my mom playing gospel music as she lay dying; and when the night was over, I reasoned with her to let go and Rest In Peace with God. It’s hard to write this without crying, but her faith and kindness drew me to Christ, and together their enduring love sustains me.

Thank you so much for sharing. Grieve is beautifully difficult work, but learn to accept. Thank you, again.

So sorry for your loss. I'm sure she was a great mother and friend, and did a lot for you and your family. Did you know that the Bible talks about a resurrection hope? (Revelation 21:4) The Bible actually talks about there being no more pain or suffering for humankind. I myself look forward to welcoming back family and friends in this earthly resurrection. My Sincere Thoughts, Prayers, Love and Condolences to her Husband Bill, her son Michael and his family, Ann, Sharon, Georgie, David and their families. I am so sad and sorry for your loss and look forward to seeing her again someday. I will never forget our friendship and our memories. . I send you all my Love XOXOXOX
Diane and I met on our school bus in our Junior Year at Shelton High School. We both lived in the Huntington part of Shelton. We became best friends and we enjoyed our Senior year of high school walking from Huntington to SHS football games and finding ourselves walking home in the dark...3 plus miles away because we didn't have a way home! She and her famiiy would invite me to their home for dinners and eventually holidays with my Dad also. I became one of their family and loved them all; George Sr. Ann (Emma), Diane, Georgie, Sharon and David. I still keep in touch with them to this day. I visited and stayed with Diane when my daughter was 3 or 4? yrs old..some 39 or 40 yrs ago in Georgia. I stayed with her and her Brother Georgie on that visit. My husband Bob and I went to visit some years later. I was invited to a Zoom get together with their family to say hi and share holiday greetings this past December 2020. I am so glad to have had that opportunity to see her and enjoy her company. I will forever remember what a great friend she was..at a difficult time in my adolescence. I will never forget her, her kindness, love, generosity, fun and light personality and our memories from over the years. I will love her and all her family until the day I die. I am so sad and and am going to miss her always. She had a very strong Faith in God and I do as well. The comfort I am able to gleam from this terrible loss..is the fact that she is in the magnificent presence of Almighty God with His Glory and in His promised Kingdom. She is with all of us who love her always....XOXOXOXO
