Diana Maureen Spear was born on November 9, 1938 to Homer Maurice and Myrtle Kristine McBee. The McBees’ had a horse farm in Delight Valley, Oregon. Diana had a deep passion for all animals, and spent her life surrounded by them. Diana had six children and was married to Wilfred Alan Cleaver. In 1972 Diana and her children settled down in Idaho. Diana remarried in 1983 to the love of her life, Chester Harvey Spear. Chester and Diana made a home together on a small farm in Middleton, Idaho! This is where her best years were and where they spent the majority of their lives together. On their farm they raised arabians, goats, cows, chickens, dogs, cats and a peacock. They took in their oldest granddaughter, Desiree, and got her involved in 4-H. Diana always loved 4-H and had experience being a leader and long time supporter of her grandchildren being involved! In their later years, Diana and Chester, loved coming to watch the grandchildren and great grandchildren show their animals. Even later in her life, she always loved to hear about animals. Diana always wanted to move back to Oregon and at the end of 2020 she moved in with her daughter and granddaughter to their farm in Harrisburg, Oregon. There Diana got to enjoy having goats, dachshunds, and a cat that loved her.
