Diana's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Lynn Manner on May 1st, 2023, surrounded by family and friends at the T. Boone Pickens Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, TX. Diana, age 74, was a beloved wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and adored sister.
Diana was born on September 21st, 1948 in Evanston, IL. Diana met her loving husband, Richard Manner, while working in Lincoln, NE and they were married on January 19th, 1969.
Diana was a dedicated mother to her two children and was a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren. She had a passion for tennis and was a talented player throughout her life. Diana loved spending time outdoors and had a particular affinity for the Jemez mountains. She also enjoyed travel, especially road trips with her husband and family, and was always looking for new adventures.
Diana always put her family first and relished every moment with them. After 54 years of marriage, she still enjoyed frequent road trips with Rick. Amidst any long drive, she was often planning their next visit, music concert, or other adventure with loved ones. Diana treasured her friends, too, and her loyalty and generosity spanned time and geography, from Houston to Dallas, Oklahoma City to New Mexico, and to California and everywhere in between. Throughout the year, she spoiled everyone with her masterful handmade crafts, signature meals, curated holiday treats, and most importantly, her thoughtfulness that made each ordinary day brighter. Diana will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Manner; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Don Keathley; her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Carrie Eglinton Manner; her grandchildren, Avery (Keathley) and Jordan Hoppe, and Macy and Wyatt Eglinton Manner; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Linda Manner; her sisters, Sharon King and Sarah Hayward; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Diana was predeceased by her brother, David King, in 2020.
Diana’s life will be celebrated in gatherings in a number of cities. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of her memory.
