Diana's obituary

Diana Dale Ayres Lee, 63, of Lewisville, TX, passed away on May 04, 2024 after a long battle with illness.

Diana was born on December 20, 1960 in Austin Texas. Her family moved to Plano, Texas in 1963. Diana grew up surrounded by many friends and played numerous team sports, from basketball to track and field hurdles. After graduating from Plano Senior High School in 1979, Diana worked as a clerical assistant at Frito Lay and Century 22 for twenty-five years.

In 2005, she met her husband Claude Lee and the two were inseparable from that point on, sharing a love of family and trips to California.

Diana was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, raising all of them to accomplish great things. Family came first and this was a value she instilled in those around her. She will always be remembered for her generosity and love, spending endless hours crocheting each family member a personalized quilt. Diana was creative, artistic and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her absence leaves a void, but the memories we shared will continue to bring us joy.

Diana was predeceased by her husband Claude Lee, mother Delia Bates, and father Russell Bates.

She is survived by her sons: Thomas Askew and Jason Askew, brother Buddy Bates, sister Debra Bush, as well as her grandchildren Joseph Askew, Alonna Askew, Andrew Askew and Kourtni Askew, niece Kate Bush and nephew Calvin Bush.

A memorial service honoring Diana will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 9:00a at the following address:
