Dian Daniel, 80, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Dian was born on April 17th, 1943 in San Diego, California. She graduated from LaGrange High Scool, in Lake Charles, Louisiana and obtained a B.A. in Education from McNeese State University. During her lifetime she also resided in San Diego, California as well as Austin, TX.

After university, she taught high school art classes briefly and her love of teaching stayed with her. She freely shared her many talents with her family, friends and community. She was an accomplished artist and jeweler, a legendary chef and brought beauty to all through her original creations and love of plants and animals. Always a free spirit, she had a beautiful laugh the world is now quieter without.

Dian was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Daniel, of San Diego, California, her mother, Alma Daniel Leach of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and her sister, Weslie J. Horany of Wichita Falls, Texas.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Stephanie Larson of Austin, TX, her grandaughter Whitney Larson, of Maple City, Michigan and her beloved great-grandaughter Violet, plus a host of extended family and loving friends.
