Today is a very sad day for all of us at Home Instead. We learned of Devra’s passing, and our office has been taking many moments of silence as we begin to process the loss of our beloved caregiver.
Devra carried herself with such grace, class, and integrity. I’ll always remember the evenings we spent on the phone working together, venting, and finding solutions for our clients. Out in the field, she always greeted me with her beautiful smile.
Most recently, Devra cared for a young hospice client in his 40s. His wife told me, “One thing I love about Devra is that she truly cares,” adding that she couldn’t have gone through the transition without Devra’s support.
Devra, you are deeply loved and will be truly missed.

Our family is heartbroken to hear of Devra’s passing. She was one of the kindest people and always so thoughtful when it came to looking after my mom. She would bring her Jamaican food and help me with her hair and always filled our home with warmth. She was truly a one of a kind spirit. Our family sends our deepest condolences.

She was a Women whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. To me she was more than a mother in law she welcomed me with love & treated me as her own showing nothing but love, grace, & warmth. She was a devoted grandmother & the bond she shared with her beloved grandson was truly special. Her memory will be cherished deeply & her love will continue to guide us always. Hey cuz it's me I'm gonna miss you, I'm grateful I got a chance to see you talk to you its the little things that always sticks to me as a kid you coming by and braiding my hair for me. I always think about that or even me as visiting you every blue moon for a few and as a adult you being there checking on me. Devra was a beautiful soul who definitely will be missed. We started off as co-workers, and ended up being good friends. Her laughter and vibrant spirit lit up any room she was in. She was a phenomenal woman who will be phenomenally missed. My condolences to her family, especially her kids whom she loved more than anything.

Some truth in life are hard to except. I was very saddened to hear the loss.
Devra was someone who was so real, kind-hearted, and sweet. Her beautiful smile was so infectious, and she always spread happiness and positivity.
I can recall the last conversation we had, and it was filled with laughter.
She was an amazing person and I will miss her more than words can say.
The stars are now her new home, where peace and tranquility embrace her.
