Wrote this for Devi about a year ago.... while I only knew her for 10 years, she impacted my life much more.

Devi opened my world by guiding me into the Rotary Youth Exchange program. She showed me how to mom.  She taught me how to embrace change. When I couldn't have more kids of my own,  I found kids from all over the world and that opportunity was because of Devi.  My heart goes out to the Phillips family.  You are all amazing people and our lives are truly better for knowing you all; our sincerest condolences.

The pee in your pants kind of…
2017, The Keys, Florida, USA
The pee in your pants kind of laughter is what I will miss most about my best friend.
Bart, William, Elizabeth, and Amanda: Sending love and prayers to each of you from this wonderful family. I will never forget Devi. The most perfect and unforgettable memory I have from the day I moved here is her welcoming smile, saying that everything was going to be all right. She was more than a welcoming neighbor happily greeting us. She was more than a polite neighbor; she was a friend, a welcoming beautiful person that was always available to chat, help, and share. She had an incredible and unique powerful light.  Devi was a sunshine person, every time, every single day. She will always be in my memories and I can feel that she will be in our hearts forever, always with her bright beautiful eyes, and a big sincere smile. She didn't go away, she is just resting in peace, together with the angels. She sowed many seeds of love, joy, peace, compassion, friendship, strength, and resilience. We will all miss you so much. Love forever, Monica, Aluisio, Renata & Phillip Toledo.
Sending lots of love and prayers to the whole Family and all of our friends. Devi has been a part of our family for 48 years and and will be forever missed. I am so grateful to have all the wonderful memories we made through the years and then with our family's. RIP my dearest friend until we meet again! XOXO
