Derrik's obituary
Derrik Arthur Williams, lovingly known as "D," passed away on February 2, 2025, in Anchorage, Alaska, at the age of 44. Born on November 15, 1980, in Ashland Oregon, Derrik brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
Derrik was a man who embraced life with an outgoing spirit and a warm heart. He had a natural ability to make people smile and laugh, always ready to lend a hand or offer support when someone needed it most. His vibrant personality and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Derrik found joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. He loved shopping for shoes, hats, and clothes, always adding his unique flair to his style. A skilled barber, he enjoyed cutting hair and sharing conversations with others while doing so. Derrik also cherished spending time with his fiancée, one of their favorite pastimes was coloring together—a quiet yet meaningful way they connected. He thrived in social settings, making new friends wherever he went and bringing people together with his infectious energy.
Family was central to Derrik’s life. He is survived by his wife Kourtney Greeno Williams; his Mother Linda; and his children Kevin, Arthur, Junior, Angle, Amanda, Allister, and Jason. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts. Derrik was predeceased by his father, Arthur Williams.
Derrik’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection. His ability to brighten any room and bring people together will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
