Happy Birthday in Heaven, Derek!!! I’m so glad I got to spend some good laughs and quality time with You, before You had to leave us on Your forever journey with God!! My selfish side says I wish You were still here with us, because I miss You so much! My Godly side tells me it won’t be too much longer and I will see You again!!! God Bless You Derek!!! R.I.P. Nephew!!!

Today here on earth Derek, you turn 40 years of age. This is your Grandmother, Wendy. You were my first grandchild and hold a special place in my heart forever. I have so many memories and cherish them all. From when you were very young and still using a walker. I took you with me often to the gym. Everyone that worked out there enjoyed you so much that they called you our mascot. You never wanted us to stop our workout routine. Oh and when you were a man at the age of 37. You stood on my back porch calling out to me, smiling to come see what was happening. You were standing with both arms straight out to your sides. Both arms had many hummingbirds perched all along your arm’s. I was so pleased to see and told you that you were a beautiful person and that nature just loved you. You are missed terribly and will cherish the day that we are reunited once again!
