He was a kind and loving person. He was an honor student. Star Basketball player of Lansing High in the start of 9th grade before his death. Family was so important to him. He was such a family person. He really loved his little sister Arielle, Derek would do anything for her and she would do anything for him. They had a tight bond and it could not be broken at all they were close and she will truly miss him. We all will May you rest in peace my dear son.
